About accuracy

This is a detailed, interpretive model, not a measured digital twin. Published overall dimensions and the temple arrangement guide the reconstruction. Fine carvings, roof profiles, exact spacing, minor shrine heights and individual ruins are approximations. No LiDAR, photogrammetry or surveyed architectural drawings were supplied. Interiors and deity sculptures are not reconstructed.

Scene options

Reading the sacred plan

Shiva occupies the principal position, with Vishnu to the north and Brahma to the south. Their temples face east toward the vehicle shrines: Nandi, Garuda and Hamsa. Two Apit shrines, four Kelir shrines and four Patok shrines complete the inner group. The outer rows contained 224 Perwara shrines.

The vertical composition

Raised bases support the temple bodies and their galleries. Repeated mouldings and recessed wall bays lead upward to diminishing roof stages, clusters of ratna ornaments and a central finial. This model separates those layers so that you can inspect their depth and silhouette from every side.

Stories in the galleries

The Ramayana sequence begins on Shiva's gallery and continues on Brahma's. Vishnu's reliefs relate Krishna stories. Pradakshina follows a clockwise path from the eastern entrance. The model marks gallery locations with abstract relief panels; these are not reproductions of the historical narrative carvings.

Shiva's chambers

The eastern entrance leads toward Shiva's central sanctuary. The other cardinal chambers are associated with Agastya to the south, Ganesha to the west and Durga to the north. The walkthrough explores exteriors; chamber locations are explained without inventing detailed interiors.

Lighting is an artistic setting. The reconstructed outer shrines are a hypothetical visualization, not a claim about their exact original appearance. Paths in the model do not represent current visitor access.
